Goals Goals Goals

As I drift endlessly through the miasma of life, I was wondering what the next few endurance goals for me will be. In an email from one friend to another the other day, I was described as something like this "Ironman, 100k, Six Foot Track in low 5hrs a few years back".

So what is next?

Maybe the following:
Australian 24hr Rogaining Championships
Great Ocean Road Half Marathon
Gold Coast Marathon

Comm Games Squash

Went to the Commonwealth Games squash gold medal games the other night and saw the mens and womens finals. The womens was a great match between two sisters Grinham, with younger Natalie winning over sister Rachael. The Men's final was a beauty. Almost 2.5 hrs of sluggin between David Palmer (Aus) and Peter Nicol (Eng). I had forgotten how fit these athletes are at that level of squash. They were supremely fit, fast, and talented to compete at that level. It was a thrilling match, that required frequent floor mopping as the player sweated bucket loads of sweat. While I used to be that fit once, and played reqsonably good squash, I doubt whether my body would stand up to that level of punishment anymore without injury.
